Self Inking Rubber Stamps

Self inking rubber stamps are made of water-based ink. We use and recommend Shiny brand self inking rubber stamps. Shiny Rubber Stamps are based in Taiwan and like us, they are a family based business. Their self inking stamps are very sturdy, very easy to use and will give you years of stamping use.

Because the self inking rubber stamps are made of water-based ink, self-inking rubber stamps are not suitable for solid images as the ink pools on the rubber die-plate in the self inking stamps and it stamps uneven. Self inking rubber stamps are not recommended for glossy surfaces because they will smear.

Self inking rubber stamps have an inner working mechanism where the rubber die retracts back up and stamps the inner pad every time. Self inking stamps are an economical way to get many impressions without re-inking and the impressions are crisper.

Self inking rubber stamps are very convenient, you don’t need to carry an ink pad with you. Self inking stamps are ideal for stamping addresses, signatures, in fact, anything you write more than once is much easier if you can just “stamp it” using your self inking stamp.

Self inking stamps are available in the following ink colours, Black, Blue, Red, Violet and Green. Custom made coloured inks are not available for self inking stamps. When your self inking stamp is running low on ink you can usually re-ink them a few times before you need to replace the pad.

You just push the self inking stamp down slightly and pop out the ink pad. Add 10-20 drops of Shiny brand ink which is suitable for self inking stamps. Do not over saturate the pad. Once the ink is absorbed in to the pad just push the pad back in to the self inking stamp the same way it came out.
